Song of Susannah is made up of 13 stanzas, in keeping with the song theme of the title. The Gunslinger is, basically, a collection of five short stories or novellas. There are often lots of parts and chapters and sub-chapters and interludes and so on, and the Dark Tower books are no exception. One of the really fun things about Stephen King’s writing is the way he structures his books.
